만화사랑은 1987년에 창설되어 ‘자유, 비판, 창조’를 모토로 순수만화창작의 길을 지향하고 있습니다. 동아리 회원들은 만화라는 매개체를 통해 뜻 깊은 대학생활을 향유할 수 있는 기회를 가지게 됩니다. 또한 저희 동아리는 학생사회의 다원화를 목표로 하여, 만화 뿐 아니라 만화를 중심으로 한 서브컬처 전반에 관한 전문적인 지식을 공유하고 탐구함으로써, 동아리 회원들이 마니아로서의 개성을 지켜나갈 수 있도록 돕고 있습니다. 저희는 다양한 사람들과 함께 만화사랑(舍廊)이라는 이름에 걸맞게 같은 시공간을 공유하며 소통하고 교감하고자 합니다.

- 정기활동
만화부: 만화 작법에 대한 세미나 활동을 진행합니다.
교양부: 만화를 포함한 서브컬쳐에 대한 세미나 및 토론 활동을 진행합니다.
문필부: 소설 및 기승전결을 갖춘 스토리 작법에 대한 세미나 활동을 진행합니다.
송도부: 그림부와 만화부, 문필부와 교양부를 송도에서 체험할 수 있도록 주 1회 번갈아 진행합니다.
그림부: 일러스트 작법에 대한 세미나 활동을 진행합니다.
전시부: 서울 코믹월드 혹은 다양한 전시회를 목표로 창작 활동을 진행합니다.

- 연중행사 작품집&전시회:
매년 회원들의 작품들을 엮은 작품집을 발간하고, 이들 작품을 바탕으로 전시회를 개최합니다.
페이스페인팅: 대동제와 아카라카 기간 동안 회원들이 각자의 재능을 살려 축제 분위기에 기여합니다.
교류회: 연고전 때 고려대학교 만화동아리 그림마당과 교류하는 시간을 가집니다.

- 기타활동 소모임:
작품, 게임, 코스프레 등 관심 분야가 비슷한 사람들이 모여 이야기를 나누고 함께 문화생활을 합니다.
상영회: 비정기적으로 회원들이 모여 함께 애니메이션이나 영화를 관람하는 시간을 가집니다.

Manhwasarang was founded in 1987 under its motto, ‘Freedom, Criticism, and Creation’. Members can build a worthwhile experience on campus through a shared interest – comics and cartoons. Although the club is focused on the creation of comics, we aim for the diversification of student society. That is, we are also open to the sharing of subcultural knowledge in order to preserve each member’s uniqueness. We hope to connect to diverse people, as our club name implies, ‘Manhwa Sarang (Name of a room in a traditional Korean house)’.

- Activities
Drawing Session: Session about cartoon-drawing techniques
Cultural Session: Session that involves subcultural seminars and discussions (including comics)
Writing Session: Session about writing novels (Light novels, not traditional literature)
Songdo Session: Session held alternately once a week to experience Drawing Session, Illustration Session, Cultural Session, and Writing Session in Songdo
Illustration Session: Session about illustration-drawing techniques
Exhibition Session: Session about
creative activities with the aim of participating in Seoul Comic World or various other exhibitions

3. Annual Events
Anthology & Exhibition: Every year we gather our members’ works and publish anthologies and hold exhibitions.
Face painting: During the school festival Dae-dong jae and AKARAKA, our member participate in the events.
Joint events: During the Yonko games, we meet the cartoon club of Korea University Gurim-madang and have a nice time together.

4. Non-official activities
Mini clubs: People who share common interests in comics, games, cosplays, etc gather together and share their hobbies.
Movie trips: Sometimes members get together and go to the movies.
